In the Baumgart heben und sichern online shop, you will find a wide range of roundslings, webbing slings, chains, ropes, chain assemblies and chain slings for different applications. Our slinging equipment forms the reliable connection between the load, the lifting medium, the crane and the hoists.
We offer the right solution for every length, every load class and every application. Our textile slings in signal colours reliably meet the standard-compliant safety requirements according to EN 1492-1 and EN 1492-2. And if you are looking for an individual solution for a professional challenge, we will manufacture your product to measure. Slinging equipment from Baumgart stands for safe lifting technology, high efficiency when slinging loads and durable quality.
High-quality materials: slinging equipment with a high level of safety
In contrast to load handling attachments, slinging equipment is designed for slinging heavy loads safely. While lifting clamps, hooks and shackles act directly on the load, slinging equipment such as webbing slings, chain slings and roundslings creates a secure connection between the goods, the lifting medium and the hoist.
Our webbing slings, roundslings, chains, ropes and chain assemblies transmit high tensile forces and must therefore meet high requirements in terms of material, steel quality and workmanship. We manufacture our textile slings strictly in accordance with EN 1492-1 and EN 1492-2. We manufacture our chain slings and chain assemblies in accordance with EN 818-4. Each of our products is supplied with a load capacity label, marked length, safety label and operating instructions – this fully meets the marking requirements of the standard and makes the next inspection straightforward for you. When you buy our slinging equipment, you can look forward to the next inspection with confidence.
Annual inspection without stress
Mechanical, thermal or chemical damage can reduce the breaking strength of slinging equipment, chains, ropes and chain assemblies. Incorrect use, the wrong length or improper slinging create a risk of the load falling. The discard criteria therefore play a decisive role in their use. To ensure the greatest possible safety for users, in Germany slinging equipment must be inspected by a competent person at least once a year (Industrial Safety Regulation BetrSichV, DGUV Rule 100-500); in other countries, the respective national regulations apply. We are happy to take care of this with our inspection service – smaller items that can be sent by parcel can also be inspected for customers elsewhere in Europe. In addition to thorough self-checks before each use, this inspection provides additional expert assurance so that damaged products are withdrawn from use in good time. Particularly important: load handling attachments, lifting clamps, shackles and anchor points must also be checked regularly, as they are essential components of the entire connection within the lifting technology.
Good to know: clear colour coding on our polyester webbing slings and roundslings prevents any confusion, while the indicators show when the wear limit for your individual sling has been reached.
Wide selection of slinging equipment for heavy loads
Our range of 40 different types of slinging equipment offers the right solution for every professional application in industrial lifting technology. From textile lifting media to chains, ropes and heavy chain assemblies, we cover load capacities from one up to 55 tonnes. Different lengths, designs and connecting elements enable efficient and safe slinging.
Roundslings
Roundslings are among the most flexible lifting media in lifting technology. They stand out for their even pressure distribution across the entire width of the load. They are elastic and secure loose and sensitive loads between one and ten tonnes effectively. The colour coding of our 16 polyester (PES) versions helps you choose the right tensile strength. Please observe the corresponding markings for the permissible load capacity. Roundslings are available from us with a single or double cover and, on request, even for heavy goods of up to 50 tonnes. They are part of our wide-ranging product range and combine well with shackles, anchor points and load handling attachments.
Webbing slings
Webbing slings are lightweight, textile lifting media that stand out for their tensile strength and low weight. Thanks to even pressure distribution, they are particularly suitable for lifting heavy machine parts with sensitive surfaces and protect both the parts and the entire team on the ground from damage and injury. Our eight polyester (PES) versions have the same colour coding as the roundslings and are also suitable for loose or long goods, as they can be used in an open or closed loop. The two-ply webbing slings are particularly tear-resistant and, thanks to their resistance to moisture, also highly wear-resistant. As several slings can be used at the same time, you can work conveniently and quickly.
Chain slings
Chain slings are available in different grades. Thanks to their high tensile strength, they can lift and secure loads of up to 55 tonnes without any problems. The load capacity depends on the grade. We offer chain slings with up to 4 legs in grade 80 and grade 100.
Our chains and chain assemblies made of high-strength steel are particularly suitable for demanding applications in industrial lifting technology where textile ropes or webbing slings reach their limits. In grade 80, a 4-leg chain assembly with a chain diameter of 16 millimetres achieves a load capacity of up to 17 tonnes, and in grade 100 even up to 21 tonnes.
The actual load capacity of chain slings (16 mm) depends on the grade, the number of legs and the sling angle:
| Chain sling 16 mm | Single chain | 4-leg, angle 0–45° | 4-leg, angle 45–60° |
| Grade 80 | 8,000 kg | 17,000 kg | 11,800 kg |
| Grade 100 | 10,000 kg | 21,200 kg | 15,000 kg |
This allows heavy goods to be suspended safely. The master link, connecting link, shortening clutches and clevis hooks with H stamp are always included in the delivery. The H stamp is an additional quality feature, as it confirms that the chain sling or accessory has been approved by the German employers’ liability insurance association for the wood and metal industries (BG Holz und Metall). On request, you can ask us for individual hook types, shackles or other components for your hoists, or browse our online shop for accessories.
High-quality accessories for slinging equipment
To secure all slinging equipment properly, Baumgart heben und sichern offers high-quality accessories. All accessories match the slinging equipment purchased from us and thus offer you a high level of safety for goods and personnel.
High-strength shackles made of steel with hot-dip galvanising and a safety factor of 6 according to US Federal Specification RR-C-271 (grade 4) ensure stable, fire-resistant attachment of the load to the crane and create a reliable connection between the lifting medium, the hoists and the load. On request, we can also supply shackles according to EN 13889. In addition, we stock lifting clamps and other load handling attachments specially designed for different applications in lifting technology. For our roundslings and webbing slings, you can purchase universal hooks colour-matched to the coding, which attach them securely to anchor points or crane hooks.
To protect the load and the slinging equipment, we offer various types of edge protection. Steel edge protection angles are suitable for extremely heavy loads, while hinged edge protectors are particularly flexible. All can be fitted easily via slot openings and extend the service life of your roundslings, webbing slings and chain slings.
This also includes PU coatings and protective sleeves, which protect textile lifting media against mechanical and chemical influences and significantly extend their service life with frequent use. The latter are particularly cut- and wear-resistant and protect textile slings against chemical influences. PU coatings are transparent, so you retain full visibility of the fabric. They also protect against mechanical damage and extend the range of applications of all slinging equipment.
Anchor points
In our online shop, you will find high-quality bolt-on and weld-on anchor points for attaching slinging equipment securely and stably to the crane. For grade 80 and 100 chain slings, our range includes matching (swivelling) lifting swivels, with and without bow, as well as eye bolts and eye nuts. For welding on, there are hooks and lifting links. All accessories are colour-matched to the sling models and round off your equipment for lifting and securing.
