You can order high-strength, galvanised professional steel load chains with chain boxes for ABUS ABUCompact electric chain hoists online. All spare parts are available for sizes GMC and GM2 to GM8, which handle loads of up to 4 t. Thanks to a larger contact surface, ABUS load chains offer a quarter more load-bearing capacity than round steel chains and are therefore more wear-resistant.
The chains range from 3.1 x 9.3 mm to 9.6 x 30.0 mm in diameter. To determine the correct length of the load chains, it is important whether you use them in single-fall or two-fall operation. With single-fall reeving, the chain runs directly from the hoist to the hook; with two-fall reeving, it is guided back to the housing via a deflection and fixed there. This doubles the load capacity and halves the lifting speed. You therefore need to take into account the hook path (single or double) plus 0.5 m.
Based on your calculation, you can buy chain boxes for the individual models, covering chain lengths from 4 to 49 m. They are made of plastic and are therefore particularly low-maintenance.
